Community Engagement

Kingorama is dedicated to bringing the stories of Shahnameh to a large and diverse audience.
Our goal is that children's imaginations will light up as they explore the myths and legends of Iran.

This summer, Two Chairs partnered with Good Shepherds Services in Brooklyn NY to bring the tales of Shahnameh to undeserved communities.  We performed the tale Zahhak The Legend of the Serpent King for summer camping 8 and 9 year olds, then gave them the tools to create their own shadow puppets.

Performed by Yahya Alkhansa Nate Begle, Leila Ghaznavi, Kaveh Haghtalab, Jon Riddleberger, and Hamid Rahmanian

Special thanks to Neda Kazemifar, Roof Top Films, and Good Shepherd Serivces.

Corporate sponsorship provided by Print Icon.

This project was produced by Two Chairs with a grant provided by Brooklyn Arts Council.
